Abstract

The central idea is that cultural heritage is a structural element of societies as cultural organisms. Cultural heritage is an irreplaceable source of life in society and of inspiration for innovation. Digital technologies as powerful contemporary tools for the preservation, access and dissemination of cultural heritage must be the object of investigation and support for the development of projects that involve the various actors (culture managers, museums, archives, public, etc.). The relationship between cultural heritage and digital technologies is constantly dynamic, opening up new opportunities for theoretical and applied research.
