Les étudiants face à la désinformation en ligne : de la censure à l’éducation aux médias
Main Article Content
Abstract
Abstract: This present article examines the topic of disinformation in the setting of an university. Our study has two objectives: defining disinformation in the context of universities and investigating how students perceive disinformation. A sample of 129 students from Ben M'Sick Faculty of Sciences of Hassan II University in Casablanca, Morocco were questionned on the topic of false information in an university setting. The results indicate that misinformation in academic settings is fueled by the uncritical use of social media, information evaluation practices that emphasize speed over accuracy, and a lack of sufficient media education. This underscores the urgent need for educators to implement effective pedagogical strategies that equip students with critical thinking skills and the ability to verify sources accurately.
