Abstract
This article analyzes the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in war journalism, exploring its innovations, challenges, and impacts. It is based on a survey of 38 freelance journalists working in conflict zones. The study reveals that AI strengthens existing practices such as automation and combating disinformation while also raising ethical and technical concerns. Despite these advancements, the role of the human journalist remains central to ensuring ethical and high-quality reporting.
